I can’t believe this is considered an Olympic Sport. Ice dancing in general seems like the pathetic little brother of figure skating. Makes you wonder if the figure skaters ever bully the ice dancers. If you’ve never tuned into ice dancing, it’s basically couples figure skating without any of the cool moves. I’ve seen it a few times and always thought it was a bit silly, but last night took the cake when Russian champions Oksana Domnina and Maxim Shabalin skated their controversial Aboriginal dance. It seemed pretty offensive to Aborigine culture, but also just plain ridiculous. I mean…look at this picture! Does this look like they’re taking the sport even remotely seriously? At least it was good for a laugh. D and I were cracking UP watching it.
