While on Thanksgiving break, my father in law loaned me this really cool book, Clan of the Cave Bears. It’s not a book I would typically pick out for myself. It’s got a bit of historical significance and the print is super small. When I’m in bed reading I don’t like to wear my glasses so it’s kind of an eye strain. Good thing I have that great eye wrinkle cream. But the storyline is really good. It’s about the dawn of civilization and the evolution of man. It’s not told in a historical way, but rather in a narrative of a tribe, the clan of the cave bears. The way the author describes their language and their society is fascinating. I’m excited that it’s also a book in a series rather than just a stand alone novel. Pick it up at your local used book store. I promise you won’t be disappointed!
