Kate Svenson is attractive, successful, a brilliant businesswoman – and miserable. After three failed engagements, she realises it’s time for aPLAN…and organised, detailed agenda with a clear goal: finding Mr. Right.
Let me start by saying that in the introduction, Crusie points out that this is her first book. I think that became glaringly obvious after reading the first chapter. This did not have that same spark that her book Cinderella Deal had. I just couldn’t get into the story. The main character isn’t really developed enough, and her whole idea about going to a resort to find a husband was just plain painful. Of course she’s going to end up with Jake, and he will teach her how to loosen up a bit. It was still an easy read, but I am happy to see that Crusie has improved her writing style!
