Last night D and I joined our friends in downtown Healdsburg to check out the new Italian restaurant Baci Cafe & Wine Bar. Right when we walked in the aromas of delicious food wafted over us. I liked the atmosphere of the place. It was quiet enough to hear each other speak, even though the restaurant was crowded.
D and I ordered two pizzas from their brick oven that we could see from our table. They were really tasty. Our friends practically licked their plates clean.
Since it’s a new establishment, the service wasn’t perfect. I would say the servers were a little over eager with the water. Also our entrees took a long time to come out. Luckily our appetizers were quick so we weren’t starving. We also had wine and good company and were in no hurry. I would definitely go back.
My only real complaint is that we stayed out way too late and now I’m incredibly tired at work. I guess I should click here for some eye cream so I can get rid of these puffy eyes. Next time we’ll go out on a Friday!

I’ve decided to add a new little feature to my blog-restaurant reviews. D and I love going out to eat and love trying new restaurants. While driving through town on errands on Saturday I noticed a grand opening sign for a new sushi restaurant and knew we had to go. Sushi is by far my favorite type of food. It is so versatile and delicious, and even on the healthy side.
Sushiko is located off the Rohnert Park Expressway in Rohnert Park, CA. It’s right next to an amazing Gelato shop, so if you somehow manage to walk out of there with room for dessert, you can walk next door for a delicious gelato treat. I doubt you’ll have room though, because this food is so tasty.
When we first walked in, we were immediately given a loud and boisterous
greeting from the sushi chefs. The ambiance was great-beautiful dark wood tables and nice music playing. I’ve been to a few sushi restaurants in Rohnert Park that like to blare their music far too loudly, but this wasn’t one of them.
We ordered three sushi rolls and a serving of chicken teriyaki. Our order came with soup and salad which came out almost immediately after we placed our order. We were amazed by the generous size of our spicy tuna roll. Mmhmm my favorite.
We also ordered a deep fried spicy roll. It was sinfully unhealthy but oh so good. Just looking at this picture makes me want to go back there right now!
