I made a New Year’s resolution that I would work out at least 3 times per week. So far I’ve actually kept the resolution! I’d like to bump it up to 4-5 days per week eventually. I’m finding that working out in the mornings seems to really help me keep the resolution. I work out for at least 20 minutes, and then even if I don’t get a walk or jog in at lunch or do my pullups on our silver bars in the home gym, I don’t feel guilty because I got at least a small workout in.
I’ve also started putting the exercise mat down in our home office. Then when I get bored I do jumping jacks, situps or pushups. I figure every little bit helps right? My goal is to get in top shape by April 1st, for my husband’s academy graduation. I think I can do it. I want to lose at least 5 pounds, which doesn’t seem like it should be too difficult. I’ve stopped drinking wine during the week and I’ve cut back on my calories. Now if I can just kick this sweet tooth…

Well the holidays have come and gone, and now it’s time to find cheap fat burners. I’ve got a new year’s resolution to work out three times a week. I’m using Exercise TV and also going walking with my dog every day. That is a win win for both of us. Now if I could just curb this sweet tooth of mine!
Ever since we moved I’ve felt little to no motivation to work out. I’m not one of those people where I find diets that work for me. I have always relied on good old fashioned exercise to stay in shape. I’m hoping to start taking a class like kickboxing or karate. I do much better working out in groups. I guess I need the team motivation. I think with the weather cooling down too I should hopefully be motivated to at least crack open the P90x videos again.
I’ve been working out in our living room which has its good and bad points. The good points are the floor is soft enough to do my crunches and pushups without hurting my wrists. The bad point is that I can’t slide or pivot easily when doing kicks. It’s causing my knee joints to hurt a little bit. Maybe I need to get some joint supplements to help strengthen them. Even with the carpeted floors I have to say working out at home is great. I don’t have the lame excuse of not having the time to go to the gym. Hopefully at our next place we’ll have a room we can dedicate to a home gym.
It’s day 5 of the P90X workout and while it’s tough, it’s not impossible. Tony, the instructor has been faithfully appearing on my Samsung TV and shouting at me to breath and work harder. Today I did Yoga X and it was brutal. I’m really looking forward to Sunday and my stretch day.
I think the hardest thing is going to be figuring out how to work out while we’re on vacation. We’re leaving to visit friends in just a few days, and I don’t know if we’ll be able to work out. I think I’ll probably bring my laptop and see what we can accomplish without weights. Even if we do half the workout, it’ll be something.
Even though I’ve only been doing this workout for 5 days, I’m already feeling more firm. I can’t wait until I see real results.
We finally did it-we bought the P90X workout system. I’m so excited about trying it out! I just hope I can keep up with the routine. We ordered not only the videos, but all of the fitness equipment that came in a kit. There are resistance bands and a chin up bar. I tried the chin up bar last night and I’m sad to say that I couldn’t even do one.
Hopefully that will change as I start the workouts. Wish me luck!
With under 3 months to go until the wedding, I’m really kicking my fitness up a notch. I’ve started counting calories, and trying to consume food that burns fat like raw almonds. I’ve also started working out at home so that I have zero excuses. When I get home it’s hard to get motivated to leave again to go to the gym. So instead I’m getting work out videos and my goal is to work out for one hour every day. Here’s hoping I can do it!
I was looking through some old photos today trying to organize my computer before backing it up. I was amazed to see how skinny I used to be. Sure, I was younger so I have to keep that in mind. Still, I’ve definitely gained a few pounds. I’m also healthier now than when I was a skinny mini. I used to eat diet pills and eat nothing but toast for dinner. It was kind of ridiculous. I could also work out for a day and see results almost immediately. I’m much better about what I eat and how I lose weight now. The healthy way! It definitely takes more work because I have to work out and I can’t do the quick and easy methods. Sigh…I wish I had the metabolism of my youth!!
I’ve started trying to up my workout routine. It’s so tough to stay on a regiment though. It feels like life always gets in the way. I’ve started working out on my lunch break so that I have no excuses such as I’m too tired after work or I have things to do, blah blah blah. The only problem with working out on the lunch break is that I seem to be breaking out more. I think it’s because I don’t get to hit the showers after my workout. I guess I should pack an on spot acne treatment to keep with my workout stuff. I guess a few pimples are worth looking stunning in my wedding dress!
