I’ve caught glimpses of the show in the past but never watched it as the season progressed. It’s fun to watch, but also super frustrating. Sometimes I don’t get why the judges choose who they choose. Last night was the elimination round and they cut some amazing acts. Some of them were downright awful and they let them through. A couple of the acts where they do dare devil stunts that made my skin crawl like I had eczema.

I really think that the acts where people sing should stick to American Idol. I’m so tired of singing-I feel like tons of people can sing or play an instrument. The ones that wow me are the ones with crazy talents. Like the amazing juggler who juggled a CHAINSAW. That guy was cool.

I will say I did love Michael Grimm-he’s just plain sexy and a great singer, even though I don’t want to see him win. I am just ready for someone other than a singer to win one of these shows. I do want to see him get famous though!

I love Barney with his blac label clothing obsession, Robin for her awkward Canadianisms, Marshal and Lily for being such an adorable couple, and of course the hopeless, hapless romantic Ted. I can’t wait for next season. Maybe we’ll finally get a glimpse at the mother!

What bums me out is learning that the show has been canceled. Seriously? Why is it that networks cancel only the good shows but leave the crap like The Bachelorette on the air?

This show had everything-great character development, a little bit of drama, and best of all, supernatural abilities. Oh, and Kyle is adorable.

I’m almost done with the series, and I’m savoring every episode. Hopefully I can find something similar because this show just rocks.

I’ve started watching talk shows because it’s between that and horrible reality shows like the bachelorette, bleck. I love Dr. Oz when I happen to catch it. He’s so informative about everything from relationship and exercise advice to which kind of sleep pills are safer to use than others. Today’s show was all about sex, so of course it was entertaining and funny. I think my favorite part was when Dr. Oz asked the audience what percent of women admit to having faked an orgasm. I was surprised that it’s only 48%. But that’s of course what women have actually admitted it.

Welp, all of the season finales have come and gone. Now it’s rerun time again. There will be a few new shows on during the summer, but I think there are few weeks of just nothing but crap on tv. I guess the good news is we won’t be spending our evenings stuck inside starring at the boob tube. Summer reruns are better than even curvatrim because it’s motivation to get outside. Swim, go for night walks, anything but sit and watch crap tv. I should be grateful!

Best Episode in YEARS! My palms were sweaty, my heart was racing. A shooter, loose in Seattle Grace. Shooting surgeons cold blooded. One of the Mercy West doctors died in the first scene. Alex, my beloved Alex, gets shot and manages to drag himself to the elevator.

The shooter was out for revenge against the doctors who unplugged his brain dead and comatose wife. He wanted Shepard, Weber, and Lexie Grey dead because they did what they were supposed to do.

When Derek gets shot, watching Meredith’s face I couldn’t help but bawl. Cristina tries to protect Mer from going out there to help him, but she shoves her out of the way and runs to his side. She tells him that she can’t live without him, that if he dies, she will die. Poor Meredith-finally happy, finds out she’s pregnant and is actually happy about it, and now her husband is shot. The whole time I’m watching I’m thinking, if they kill off Derek I will never watch this show again.

Then my badass Cristina steps up. She says she’s going to perform surgery on Derek. She really is going to be a cardio god.

Meanwhile Alex is dying, while Sloan and Little Grey try to save him. As Little Grey tells Alex she loves him, my heart broke as Alex said, “Izzie? You came back?” Ahhhhh! I felt so bad for him. Stupid Katherine too big for her britches Heigl. She sucks! I really hope the writers don’t kill off Alex. At the same time, it’s hard for me to see him with anyone but Izzie Stevens. The writers should have killed her off so all of us fans would stop wishing she’d come back.

Being one of my favorite episodes, I love that one of the guest stars is Mandy Moore, one of my favorite actresses. She’s a strong character and is there for Bailey when they realize they can’t help the other Mercy West doctor who gets shot.

While Cristina starts surgery, she tells Meredith she has to stay out of the room on the ground. Owen comes in, searching for Cristina and not only finds her, but finds her with a gun pointed at her head. The shooter in his deranged state is screaming at her to stop trying to save Sheppard. This was by far the most intense scene on the show. Avery does some quick thinking and takes the sensors off of Sheppard to show that he’s flatlining. Mer doesn’t know the sensors are off and thinks he died. The poor thing collapses in shock. Meanwhile Owen had tried to jump the shooter and gets shot in the shoulder.

Meredith runs off to help him, while Cristina works to save Sheppard. As Meredith is helping Owen, she realizes she’s having a miscarriage. It was so sad because she was overjoyed when she first found out. Even though it was a sad moment, it was completely understandable. That level of stress on a new fetus. How could it possibly survive?

As this is all happening, Weber finds a way into the hospital, to try to save his people. He has a standoff with the shooter, and he confronts him. He tells him he has lived, that he is ready to die. He says, the question is, are you? a gunshot goes off, but we don’t see who was killed.

Typical Grey fashion, the happy come with the sad. Sheppard’s heart starts beating, Callie and Arizona get back together, and we see Weber standing on the catwalk. Alex is hooked up to the monitors and it looks like he’s going to pull through. Besides the two Mercy West doctors, the only other loss it seems, is at the end of the episode, when Meredith looks sadly at the pregnancy test and throws it away.

BEST EPISODE since the bomb threat!

I think this episode could have also been titled “Baggage” because that was essentially the theme. As always, I love it when this show references past episodes and this one did a bang up job. In an earlier episode, I believe from last season, Ted foreshadows the movie Tony writes about Ted and Stella called “The Wedding Bride”. I love how the writers poke fun at cheesy romantic comedies. The over the top acting, the way the bad guy is so ridiculous, how dramatic and sad the actress who plays Stella is. I felt so bad for Ted as he watched the horribly skewed version of a heartbreaking moment that happened in his life on the big screen. Can you imagine if your heart was broken and someone wrote a movie about it? Worse yet, wrote a movie and pegged you as the villain and not the victim?

Besides the movie, Ted talks about how as we get older in the dating world, everyone that comes along has some form of baggage. For Ted, it was being left at the altar. The funny sidebar showcases Marshall’s baggage of being too nice. He’s always helping people in his small town Minnesodan way, but sometimes he’s too nice for New York. Like when he stops to help someone load a moving van only to find out later he accidentally helped someone rob someone else. They even took the children’s
toys!
The end of the episode was awesome when they reveal the baggage of the girl Ted is seeing, Royce. We find out not only has she been left at the altar three times, but she has a gambling addiction, and she SHARES A BED WITH HER BROTHER! “Yeah…you gotta go.” says Ted. Great episode! Oh, and I’m so happy I missed all the spoilers, because apparently they were aplenty on the web. I guess it paid to be in the dark on this one!

Things are looking up for the Walker clan. They’ve struck water at Narrow Lake and everyone is excited. Justin and Rebecca are still having some issues, but they’re trying to deal with them (sigh…when are they not having issues?). As the family drives home, each group in separate cars, an accident happens. Justin and Rebecca arrive on scene and see to their horror that they’re loved ones were involved. They rush to help, and it seems that Kevin, Scotty and Nora are all ok. Saul has some severe cuts and when Kevin goes to help him, Saul yells, “No don’t touch me, you can’t!” It’s that moment that we as the viewers as well as Kevin, Scotty and Nora realize that Saul’s HIV test, which he had taken earlier and got the results from (and lied about to Nora) was in fact positive. That was a sad moment for the Walkers, but not nearly as sad as the McCalisters story.

Justin rushes to Kitty’s car, where Robert is badly injured. He’s going to help, but then Rebecca screams for him and says it’s her mom in the other car. Robert tells Justin to go. He looks at Kitty and says, “When we brought Evan home from the hospital, I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to keep up. But then I saw you holding him. So strong, so loving. And I knew that you would.” I bawled when he said that, because that was the last thing he says, before he goes lifeless. Kitty is left screaming for him, and realizes that he’s gone.

What a way to go out for the season. I’ve read that Rob Lowe is leaving the show, so he does in fact die. I’m sorry to see him go, but I have to say I wasn’t a huge fan of the McCalisters and their political ambitions. I’d like to see Kitty be a real mom, and I’d love to see her eventually get together with that cute widow she almost had an affair with. I used to love Robert when he first got together with Kitty. The man looks like he should be a men’s polo shirts model. He’s so all american and drop dead handsome. But they turned him into an absolute jerk after his heart attack. Yeah yeah he stands by her when Kitty gets cancer and yeah they renew their vows, but honestly, I stopped carrying about him. I think he made the right choice leaving before he faded into the woodwork like poor Julia did. Scotty is a much more loveable spouse and Robert just doesn’t compare.

I’m looking forward to next season, but I’m thinking this show doesn’t have many seasons left in it.

I liked the storyline between the burn victims. When the best friend says, “Just be real with me!” it was such a good moment. They laughed about people that complain about wanting acne scar removals when they have horrible scars all over their faces. “I can’t watch romantic comedies anymore. Try having half your face burned off, see what a pretty woman you’ll be then!” I loved that they could laugh about their situation.

As far as the storyline between Meredith and Cristina, I liked that the two didn’t just get mad and stop talking to each other. It showed some real growth on both their parts.

There are so many love triangles happening in this hospital it’s hard to keep them all straight. Lexie is dating Alex, but she’s still in love with Mark. Mark is sleeping with anything that breathes, but still loves Lexie. Owen is dating Cristina but is in love with Teddy. It took the adorable reunited elderly couple for Cristina to realize how Owen felt. It’s sad to see what is happening with them, because I really liked their relationship.

I adore the sensitive side of Mark, but I’m mad at him for taking so long to tell Lexie. I don’t want to see Alex get his heart broken yet again. I keep hoping by the end of this series Izzie will get off her high horse and come back to the show so they can end up together. I seriously loved the two of them. Oh, and poor Callie. She loves Arizona so much. Why can’t Arizona just want kids?

Ironically, the only happy couple in the whole hospital are Derek and Meredith. I’m glad the writers have finally stopped those two from fighting, because it was getting old.

Justin is struggling with figuring out what kind of career he wants and he keeps thinking about going back into the army. What gets me about it is that D sometimes talks about joining the military when he’s struggling with his career ideas. He’s never had a true dream and all he wants is a solid career where he feels he’s contributing and a part of something. I can completely understand his frustration. My heart went out to Rebecca as Justin told her how he was feeling. She had that same look I must get when D talks to me. Even her words, “don’t you dare” are what I’ve said to D many times regarding military. I respect so much of what the men and women soldiers do out there, but I don’t want that life for my family. Hopefully the writers find something for Justin. Maybe he should be a nurse instead of a doctor. As for D, I hope he finds the career for him, and soon. I hate that helpless feeling.
