Brothers & Sisters-On the Road Again

Things are looking up for the Walker clan. They’ve struck water at Narrow Lake and everyone is excited. Justin and Rebecca are still having some issues, but they’re trying to deal with them (sigh…when are they not having issues?). As the family drives home, each group in separate cars, an accident happens. Justin and Rebecca arrive on scene and see to their horror that they’re loved ones were involved. They rush to help, and it seems that Kevin, Scotty and Nora are all ok. Saul has some severe cuts and when Kevin goes to help him, Saul yells, “No don’t touch me, you can’t!” It’s that moment that we as the viewers as well as Kevin, Scotty and Nora realize that Saul’s HIV test, which he had taken earlier and got the results from (and lied about to Nora) was in fact positive. That was a sad moment for the Walkers, but not nearly as sad as the McCalisters story.

Justin rushes to Kitty’s car, where Robert is badly injured. He’s going to help, but then Rebecca screams for him and says it’s her mom in the other car. Robert tells Justin to go. He looks at Kitty and says, “When we brought Evan home from the hospital, I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to keep up. But then I saw you holding him. So strong, so loving. And I knew that you would.” I bawled when he said that, because that was the last thing he says, before he goes lifeless. Kitty is left screaming for him, and realizes that he’s gone.

What a way to go out for the season. I’ve read that Rob Lowe is leaving the show, so he does in fact die. I’m sorry to see him go, but I have to say I wasn’t a huge fan of the McCalisters and their political ambitions. I’d like to see Kitty be a real mom, and I’d love to see her eventually get together with that cute widow she almost had an affair with. I used to love Robert when he first got together with Kitty. The man looks like he should be a men’s polo shirts model. He’s so all american and drop dead handsome. But they turned him into an absolute jerk after his heart attack. Yeah yeah he stands by her when Kitty gets cancer and yeah they renew their vows, but honestly, I stopped carrying about him. I think he made the right choice leaving before he faded into the woodwork like poor Julia did. Scotty is a much more loveable spouse and Robert just doesn’t compare.

I’m looking forward to next season, but I’m thinking this show doesn’t have many seasons left in it.

Brothers & Sisters-Why Do I Keep Watching??

There’s just something about this show that draws me in. The Walker Family has all of these ridiculous problems and every week there is a new drama. Yet I can’t stop watching. Even when I get so fed up with the characters. Take Robert and Kitty. I can’t stand their stupid political agendas. Just focus on your adorable baby! Why do you need to be a Senator Kitty? You almost DIED. UGH. If I watched her while being hooked up to a finger pulse oximeter I’m pretty sure my blood pressure would be sky high. But then there is Sarah and Luc who I love. I was so glad she wasn’t pregnant in last night’s episode because that would have been absurd. But I love how Luc responded. “I was excited. It was the first time I’ve been excited about the possiblity that someone was pregnant with my baby.” Well put Frenchie!
Oh and Justin? Get over your dumb call to serve urges and go hang out with your hot wife! She wants to make a home with you and all you can do is talk about leaving her for war? Selfish much?? I am so annoyed but you know I will tune in next week. Maybe the Walkers just make me feel better about my own family. At least we don’t have their issues!

Brothers & Sisters-Pregnant Pause

Brothers & Sisters has been so intense lately. I haven’t even blogged about it because so much has gone on, it’s too much to write about. But this episode really got to me and I have to write about it.

3973d3f89077f9698c89c250a476f467Rebecca is pregnant, and she kept it from Justin. It’s so ridiculous because the two of them are so immature. I guess they’re the typical twenty-somethings, but it just boggles my mind how they can be so stupid sometimes. They don’t talk about their feelings to each other, they just blow up and spazz out. Justin fails his medical exams, and lies about it instead of leaning on Rebecca for support. All I can say is I’m so glad I have the kind of relationship I have with D. We don’t keep those kinds of secrets. He’s my best friend and he’s the first person I would run to if I were in Rebecca’s shoes.

I do like that he was finally there for her, but I’m mad that he didn’t fess up about his grades. Now he’s going to become more and more stressed out, and they’re going to fight like crazy.

In other news, I’m sad that Sarah’s hunky piece of Frenchman broke up with her. I don’t blame him though, she was pretty horrible to him. And I really hope her intuition about Nora’s relationship is wrong. It’s about time they let her be happy!

I do love that this show is about messy relationships, and that everything isn’t all sunshine and roses. But sometimes I want to see them have the happy moments. At least Kitty seems to be surviving her cancer so far. That was a heartbreaking moment when the family found out. I found myself crying like a fool right along with the rest of the Walkers.

Julia-Brothers & Sisters Recap

105992_D_0236This episode is mostly about Julia moving away, and taking Elizabeth with her. The Walker family is understandably sad, and it also means that Tommy is probably not coming back. I read somewhere that the actor Balthazar Getty, was having some trouble in his personal life, and that the show didn’t renew his contract. Because of this, they didn’t renew Jane Morris (Julia)’s contract either. This is a bummer because the whole show is about brothers and sisters, and what does that mean when the oldest brother is written off the show? I’m wondering if both stars will come back and do guest appearances for upcoming episodes.

I was extremely disappointed in Kitty’s behavior. I thought her character had more morals than that, but I guess not. Remember the hot park guy? Well she kisses him. After Robert figures out that she’s been coming to the park every day to visit him. After Robert shows his extreme hurt, and after Sarah warns Kitty that this all would happen, and to not do it. I guess they’re going to write Robert off the show now? It’s weird because I liked him when he first appeared on the show. But then I hated his political campaign and all of those stupid ideas he had, about putting his career before his family. So we’ll see. In a way, I like hot park guy too, but I think Kitty still should have at least separated from her husband before sucking his face!

The side story line about Rebecca and Ryan is getting a little bit more interesting, now that Rebecca seems to realize that Ryan is a creep. I also think Holly is incredibly deceiving with the way she manipulates Ryan into working for Ojai Foods, just so she can count on his board vote. I don’t get Holly at all. She hates the Walkers, yet she wants to work for their family business. She’s an evil homewrecker is what she is. But the show wouldn’t have sauce without her would it?

Brothers and Sisters-S3X

01This episode cracked me up big time. Everyone on the show is wanting a little s.e.x. I love the “almost three way” that of COURSE starts a fight between Kevin and Scotty. I’m glad they didn’t end up going through with it, it would have ruined their relationship.

Then there is Sarah who hasn’t had any in months, and sees nothing but hotties in the office when she goes back to work for Ojai Foods. She gets it on with the sexy accountant with the accent, only to find out the next day that he was a temp.

Meanwhile, Nora’s hottie from Paris, Roger, comes back and professes his love to her. I’m not sure I trust him 100%, I think there’s something more he’s hiding. I don’t really believe the story that he divorced his wife for her.

Julia tells the family that Tommy has contacted her and said he’s coming back, so all through the episode we think that’s going to happen. Towards the end of the show we see that he’s in fact not coming home, and Julia is of course devastated. It makes me wonder if the actor that plays Tommy, Balthazar Getty, has left the show. This would be a bummer, I like his seriousness, plus he’s the oldest brother. He has to stay. I don’t feel like the family was as sad as they should have been about this news either.

Kitty plays with fire when she meets up with the hottie widower Alec at the park every day. Her husband tells her that he’s cleared with the doctor to have sex again, and he’s dying to, since it’s been a long time for the two of them. She declines, and she’s very distant with him. It’s obvious that she’s having major problems with Robert, but she won’t talk to him about them. I really like the widower, but I don’t like the idea of her leaving her husband for him. She doesn’t seem like the type to have a physical affair, but she’s definitely emotionally cheating on Robert with Alec, and isn’t that almost as bad? Hopefully she’ll open up, and Robert will get his act together and put his stupid career on the backburner.

And then there’s Ryan, the latest half sibling to spring up in the Walker drama. He’s shady, there’s just something about him that I don’t like or trust. He is putting the moves on Rebecca big time. She tries to play dumb, but you can tell it’s making her uncomfortable. Rebecca’s dad doesn’t like it one bit, and tells her so. She thinks it’s sweet that he’s acting like a dad, but I’m not sure she’ll heed his well founded advice.

Troubled Waters-Brothers & Sisters Recap

It’s been awhile since I wrote a recap of a Brothers & Sisters episode. Lately I haven’t been too impressed with the story line, but this 2 hour long episode was intense.

In “Troubled Waters”, Robert and Kitty’s birth mom is having their baby. It’s supposed to be thekitty happiest day of their lives, and instead, Robert doesn’t show up. He chooses to hold a press conference and announces his campaign for Governor, instead of going to the hospital to watch their son’s birth. It’s appalling his complete lack of regard for his new baby.
