This week I’ve been anxiously waiting for our loan to fund. How many hoops must a homebuyer jump through? Uck. Also, I’m trying to soak up tv since once we move we’ll probably be without for at least 3-5 days. Hopefully less!

So this week I watched all of my regulars, and as previously blogged, I started up with Once Upon a Time. This show is seriously awesome guys. If you’re not watching it, start! I love fairytales and seeing them with a new spin is just awesome.

I’m not going to recap each episode of the shows I watched. But I will just give you a brief rundown of what’s frustrating me:

-How I Met Your Mother: OMGosh! Robin and Barney kiss! But what does this mean for Barney and Nora? And Robin and Kevin? And what about that guy she keeps running into that Ted teased us with, saying their story wasn’t over yet? I need more input!

-Desperate Housewives: Why are Lynette and Tom separated? It makes zero sense. They were the one couple who had the most chemistry. They better get back together before the series ends.

-Parenthood: How annoyed are you with Sarah? I’m so pissed at her. She finally gets the hunky teacher, and she’s pinning away for her deadbeat rehab flunky ex husband? REALLY?! Also Jasmine and the doctor make me sad. Poor Crosby’s face is pure heartbreak when she says it’s getting serious. Oh and Haddie’s reaction to her baby sister is pretty selfish, though I think I’d be annoyed if my parents had a baby when I was 17 too.

-Parks & Recreation: I want Leslie and Ben back together. Boo to their breakup. It sucks. The end.

We left off last season with Mike getting married to someone (me desperately hoping it was Susan), Gaby getting a bonus foster daughter, and Lynette finding out she was having twins.

So I was right about the Mike and Susan thing (yay!). I couldn’t help but feel sorry for Catherine though, when she crashes the wedding and looks incredibly crushed. I’m sure there will be more Catherine and Susan drama to come.

Gaby’s foster daughter is just as wild as Gaby used to be, and Gaby has her work cut out for her. She steps up though and shows her new daughter that she and Carlos are not giving up on her.

My heart broke for Lynette when she told her husband she didn’t love her babies. I don’t see how they’re going to write them into the show. It’s just so sad for all involved. Tom is super excited for them, and Lynette is just dreading the idea of having to raise more kids.

Then there is Bree. I can’t believe sweet, innocent Bree is having an affair! Classic Bree moment came when she insisted they go by new sheets for the hotel her and her lawyer (who happens to be Susan’s ex, Carl) were going to have their tryst in. Hehehe.

Then, as if all that weren’t enough, in the last five minutes of the show, the new neighbor teen STRANGLES Julie, Susan’s daughter. Holy crap! They better not kill her off, that would be devastating. Though they’ve killed off others, so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise. Hopefully all of the main characters have good life insurance quotes  because no one is safe on Wisteria Lane!

I can’t wait for the new season of my favorite shows. It feels like it’s taking forever! Don’t get me wrong, I love my summers. But why does the programming have to be so terrible? On the weeknights after a long day of work, I like to come home and unwind for an hour or two with a little TV. Sadly in the summertime, it’s nothing but reruns or bad reality shows, like Tool Academy. Do these idiots really need their own television show??

New shows are always hard to like, because networks are so quick to cancel them. So hopefully if any of these new shows are good, the networks will recognize that, and stop playing back to back episodes of So You Think You Can Dance.  Also, thank you to all the networks for putting TV Shows online. If they didn’t, there’s no way I’d be able to keep up with all these shows.

I’m sad that Nicollette Sheridan’s character Edie has been killed off on Desperate Housewives. I would have been much happier to see Katherine’s character kick the bucket, but I guess the writers had their reasons. At least they didn’t just kill her and that was that. They actually had a nice memorial, with a full on tribute episode dedicated to Edie. She was the strongest character on the show and while she may have had loose morals, she was at least honest.
Now the question is, what’s going to happen with that creepy husband of hers? Is anyone going to find out what he tried to do to Mike and Katherine? Also, I wonder if Nicollette is going to still do guest appearances, since they have so many flashbacks in the show now.

What I’ve always enjoyed about this show are the openings and closing of the show, and how it all ties together with the show’s theme for that episode. In the beginning of A Spark. To Pierce The Dark, Mary Alice (the narrator) talks about the different shocks we get in life, from steam cleaners to toaster ovens, to the shock of seeing your ex when you least expect them, like when Susan runs into her ex at her school.

Susan’s issue with her ex husband’s creepy kid were just frightening. He’s a little boy that draws disturbing images of people killing other people in her art class. Of course her ex husband just assumes she’s trying to punish his son unfairly.

There are a few plots going on with each main character as usual. Brie and Orson are dealing with marital stress yet again. I love how Orson is stealing to hurt her, because it affects her image. He knows the one way to get through to her.

Still, I think he took it to the extreme making her sell her business. It doesn’t seem fair to make her give up her dreams. There should be a balance between them.

Lynette’s boss Lucy pisses me off so much. She has a nasty attitude, and her neck looks like a pig’s jugular, ew. I wanted to smack her so bad. I LOVE how Lynette gets back at her by letting Carlos’ kids play with Lucy’s fancy figurines.

And poor Gabby is trying to get attention from Carlos, who is too exhausted to sleep with her.

I can’t believe he ties her up so he can get some sleep. So messed up! At least he realizes that he needs to be there for the family more, and he cuts back on the hours.

It was torture watching Edie forget to get her fax, which would fill her in on why her husband Dave is off on his “camping trip” with Katherine and Mike. He’s so incredibly creepy! The suspense was almost too much! Thank god she finally gets the fax and figures it out, preventing Katherine from being hurt.
I feel so bad for Edie, who finally seemed to be happy. I think she’s the strongest woman on the show in her own way. She’s not afraid to speak out and say exactly how she feels.
She was also able to get away from Dave when he tried to kill her. She’s amazing!
The finale scene does what I love, and takes us back to the opener, about shocks. Just when you think Edie is going to escape, she almost runs Orson over (who was busted stealing) and ends up crashing into a power line. The line comes down and electrocutes her. Shocking!
My theory is that Edie is going to survive but maybe she’ll have amnesia, in true Wisteria Lane fashion, and won’t remember that Dave is a psychopathic killer. I guess we’ll find out next week if I’m right.

How I Met Your Mother-This one was definitely the best show of the week. Ted dropped a bomb at the end of the episode, foreshadowing the end of his relationship. I knew he wouldn’t end up with Stella-despite how sweet she was, that wasn’t the way he was going to meet the mother of his children. They had too many differences, and she just wasn’t the one. I loved that the crew kept having interventions, and I thought it was a good way of opening Ted’s eyes to his situation with Stella.

Samantha Who-She’s back! I like this show because it’s cute and quirky. However, the premiere episode, with the storyline of Sam and her mom entering a dancing contest was…lame. Still, it was funny and Samantha was cute as always. She dances as bad as I do!

Grey’s Anatomy-This week Erica and Callie went on their first date. I can already tell that Erica is way more into Callie than Callie is to her. I’m wondering if they’ll have some big catfight in a coming up episode. There wasn’t nearly as much drama or chaos in this episode, and it ended on a fairly good note-with Meredith reading her mother’s diary with Christina. My biggest problem with that is I wish she could have trusted Derek to read it with her. Why does she always lean so hard on Christina? Sometimes it’s ok to lean on your boyfriend too Mer. Come on!

Brothers & Sisters-I just plain love the family squabbles in this show. Every week it’s something new. It’s fun to watch because they’re a real family. I like the Justin and Rebecca twist but I’m tired of Justin always going back to drinking. New storyline please! As for the Ryan thing, I hope they do tell him who he is. I want to see them contact their long lost brother. Oh, and I can’t wait to see Kitty get a kid-she’s going to be such an awkward mother!

Eli Stone-The season finale left a major cliffhanger for Eli. He had surgery on his brain tumor and he was in a coma. At the end, he opens his eyes, but we don’t know what happened. I know he’ll be ok of course because he’s the star of the show. But will his premonitions be gone? Will he still be a prophet? This had me anxious for the premiere. So the suspense paid off! This was a fantastic episode! I couldn’t believe it when Nate started getting visions too. Then when Eli realized his therapist was a vision too-wow, things couldn’t get any weirder. I love the heart that Eli shows in this show, but I am so anti-Taylor. That girl is evil and so ignorant. He has successfully predicted so many things, yet she still refuses to believe him. She finally does at the end of the episode but I still don’t like her. And Eli gets his aneurism back, so his brother doesn’t have to suffer. He shows the ultimate sacrifice here, and I think this shows the strongest character development. I love this show!!

The Office-Michael finally did it! He grew a pair! Good job buddy! I was so proud of him for asking Holly out. I really wish he’d just tell Jan off. She’s such a freeloader! I am shocked that he’s helping support this baby that he has no relation to. I can’t wait for Pam to come back-the relationship she has with Jim is so great. I love the way they connect, and at the end of last night’s episode they really showed how the two are just meant for each other.

Desperate Housewives-I was horrified when Bree tried to parent Danielle’s son. I can’t say I’m surprised but man! I am so glad my mother isn’t like her. I’d be so pissed if someone tried to change the way I was raising my kid. Gabby needs to get her act together, this poor me thing is crap. Just because you don’t have money doesn’t mean you have to be dumpy. Hey Gabby? I’m broke but I don’t look like I just woke up. Get it together! And her fat little daughter is such a brat. I was so proud of Susan for knocking her down.

It’s almost that time- Fall Premieres of all my favorite shows! I know, I’m such a TV sitcom junkie…but hey, I work hard, I work out, give me my tv time. Plus with every major network posting their shows online, I can watch them at my leisure, which is what I prefer to do. The boy talks too much during the shows, hehe, so I have to rewatch to see what I missed.

Here’s a list of the shows I can’t wait to watch:

1. Grey’s Anatomy: While it’s definitely gone downhill, I think the finale last season really helped pick it back up. I can’t wait to see how Mer and Der get along living together. Reminds me of my situation.

2. Scrubs: ABC is picking it up for it’s final season. This show used to be my very favorite, and it also went downhill, but I want to see how the end it. Hopefully JD and Elliot will get together for good.

3. Eli Stone: This is a cool new show about a lawyer profit. They left us with Eli in a coma after brain surgery, and he had just opened his eyes. I love cliffhangers.

4. The Office: Oh my god Jim just propose to Pam already, I’m sick of the waiting. What a little stinker. But this show never fails to make me laugh.

5. How I Met Your Mother: This show just plain rocks. I can’t wait to see what happens with Ted. I hope that this show actually has a shelf life, just because it will be so frustrating if we never get to meet the one that Ted ends up marrying. He proposed to Stella but it was after a breakup, so we’ll see if that pans out.

6. Desperate Housewives: The writers really threw us for a loop this last season by fast forwarding 5 years. I hope it’s as chock full of drama as last year.

7. Samantha Who?: Christina Applegate is just adorable. I love watching her in movies and now her new sitcom. I love the premise-Bad Sam turns good after she gets amnesia. I love how she has this childlike innocence at times. Such a cute show.

8. 30 Rock: I love Tina Fey, she is adorable and so good at playing a geek. She’s cute and funny and I hope this series stays on the air for a good long while.

9. Private Practice: It’s not as good as Grey’s, but I like their medical stories. They are always heart wrenching. And the guys on the show, FU-ineeeee. Yum.

10. Pushing Daisies: I like this show, it’s kind of fun in a weird, almost eerie kind of way. The cinematophy is beautiful as well. It’s very sad how the two main characters aren’t allowed to touch. This show might get old after awhile with that premise though, so we’ll see.
