Private Practice-Love Bites

The world has gone Vampire crazy! As a lover of all things Twilight, Vampire Diaries, and now the Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood series, I can relate. This episode of Private Practice where a 13 year old tells other girls he’s a vampire is kind of funny. Isn’t it scary that even young men are learning to manipulate women?! I mean, 13? Yikes.
Then there’s poor Naomi and Sam and their 15 year old knocked up kid. I wish I could say this only happens on tv but it is the reality of our world.
All I will say is there is no way that when I have kids that my 13 year old is reading Twilight til she’s older and can separate fantasy from fiction.

Oh, and I absolutely hate the storyline between Addison and Sam. Ew. Ew. Ew. The writers are making Addison so incredibly unlikeable! I still can’t believe that her and Sam shut the blinds in her office and made out, with her best friend/his ex WIFE a floor below them. Bleck.

Violet needs to take responsibility for her son. I really hope she does soon. Grrr….she’s soooo annoying.

This show is funny because it is intriguing yet infuriating. I miss it when Dell was just this sexy guy who’d take his shirt off to go to the beach, and Addison wasn’t such a ho. But Addison did look stunning in her dress, even if a bit like the statue of liberty. PS: I can’t BELIEVE she slept with Pete…she’s so repulsive. What the hell?! And then afterwards the way they both admit they’re in love with other people. I feel like sometimes these people are horny teenagers, not professional, adult doctors.
But if they were grownups, the show wouldn’t be that interesting would it?
I’m curious to see what will happen next for this group. All of their lives seem to be headed in a downward spiral.

Grey's Anatomy Private Practice Crossover

Last night’s Grey’s Anatomy/Private Practice crossover had me feeling sorry for Adison for the first time ever. Sure she’s an adulterous with loose morals, but she seems like she wants to change that. And here she was, getting excited about Mark Sloan and his proposal of moving to LA to be with her. I felt so bad for her when he says he’s sorry and that it was all just because he’s broken hearted over Little Grey. You can’t blame Adison for trying. Mark Sloan is so steamy he makes the furnace filter melt. But her friends did try to warn her, especially Sam.

I just hope the writers aren’t dumb enough to try to put Sam and Adison together. That would be wrong on so many counts. Don’t do it writers!!

The breakup between Cooper and Charlotte stunk. I can’t believe some of the horrible things he said to her! Charlotte is right-Cooper is an insensitive cold hearted jerk.

So back to Grey’s Anatomy, which I felt was sort of a lackluster episode. Anyone else agree? I was sad that Sloan and Little Grey broke up, but I do understand it to a point. Still, Lexie had no right to kiss Alex! I was so proud of Alex for saying he doesn’t really bet sex for surgery time, and I thought he was just going to go home and be a nice guy. Instead he makes out with Lexie, possibly more?

Yes, Izzie sucks for running out on their marriage, but you fix it. You don’t make out with Little Grey! Grrr. So much dysfunction in that place. I’m so glad I don’t work there!

I was pretty stunned by Cristina’s response to her cardio god when she said all she wants is Owen. “Take him!” I know I shouldn’t be surprised, but I was. That was probably the only storyline of Grey’s that I really enjoyed. It was good to see Cristina thriving again.

Did you catch the crossover? What did you think of it?

Fall 2009 TV Season-Hurry Up!

I can’t wait for the new season of my favorite shows. It feels like it’s taking forever! Don’t get me wrong, I love my summers. But why does the programming have to be so terrible? On the weeknights after a long day of work, I like to come home and unwind for an hour or two with a little TV. Sadly in the summertime, it’s nothing but reruns or bad reality shows, like Tool Academy. Do these idiots really need their own television show??
So here’s a list of all the shows I can’t wait to see, as well as some new ones that look interesting.

  • How I Met Your Mother
  • The Office
  • 30 Rock
  • Parks and Recreation
  • Better off  Ted (if those jerks at ABC renew it!)
  • Grey’s Anatomy
  • Brothers & Sisters
  • Desperate Housewives
  • Private Practice
  • Mad Men
  • Family Guy

And for the new shows out, these look like they have potential:

  • Cougar Town
  • cougar-town-new1

  • Community

  • Parenthood
  • parenthood

  • Accidentally on Purpose
  • accidentally-on-purpose04

New shows are always hard to like, because networks are so quick to cancel them. So hopefully if any of these new shows are good, the networks will recognize that, and stop playing back to back episodes of So You Think You Can Dance.  Also, thank you to all the networks for putting TV Shows online. If they didn’t, there’s no way I’d be able to keep up with all these shows.
